Rosa: Hey, everyone. This is Rosa Akino.

So, it’s Friday. That means it’s time to go over everything we’ve covered this week. Are you ready?

Chris: Hi everyone. Chris McVay here.

Yes, doesn’t time fly? Already reached Friday. Let’s give it our best shot.

Monday 1:00-

Rosa: Everyone ready? Here is the question. What advice does the DJ give Shelly?

  1. To go fishing.
  2. To end the relationship with her boyfriend.
  3. To make more time to see her boyfriend.

Ready everyone? Let’s go.

Tuesday 2:50-

Chris: What problem does the couple have?

  1. Many guests haven’t arrived yet.
  2. The bride is too nervous.
  3. They don’t have the wedding rings with them.

Listen up.

Wednesday 4:35-

Rosa: Which of the following is true about the event?

  1. It was crowded and enjoyable.
  2. It wasn’t crowded and enjoyable.
  3. It was too crowded to hear the speech.

Here we go.

Thursday 6:20-

Chris: What did Masa do at the Karaoke place?

  1. He stood up and sang.
  2. He decided to quit his job.
  3. He left the place earlier than the others.

Good luck.

Practical Challenge

Rosa: Remember everyone, imagine the situation and build it in English, think in English.

You’ll be just fine.

Chris: And maybe to help you do that, I’ll ask you “Do you like acting? Why don’t you make your practice more like our performance?

And add spice to it. You’ll enjoy it much more.”

Rosa: That’s a good idea.

Chris: Hum.

Chris: So, Rosa.

Rosa: Yeah?

Chris: What kind of things drive you round the bend and drive you nuts?

Rosa: (laughing) Let’s see, it drives me crazy when people eat with their mouth open. What about you?

Chris: That’s incredibly loose, isn’t it?

Rosa: Isn’t it?

Chris: Yeah.

Well, what drives umm …, difficult question but basically when you two attack me with so many comments, you know what I mean?

Onishi: (laughing)

Rosa: I don’t know what he is talking about, do you know what he is talking about?

Onishi: Not at all.

irritating

[adjective] Something that is irritating keeps annoying you.

Collins Dictionary

  • drive
  • arrive, reach
  • stop, finish, give up
  • sneak, creep, stalk
